Max Bouchet is the Director for State & Local Diplomacy at Meridian, where he leads a new Center supporting the global engagement of city, state, and local governments. He develops research, policy, and convenings on state and local leaders’ international strategies that advance economic development, boost trade and innovation, and enhance local resilience and national security. Previously, Max served as Director for City & State Diplomacy at the Truman Center for National Policy. He also held research positions at Guidehouse and the Brookings Institution, where he coordinated global networks of cities. Max graduated from Sciences Po Paris and is a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
