Bernard Boutin is the Head of Corporate Affairs for Canada and LATAM at Intuit and the co-chair of Tax-Filer Empowerment Canada, a national association that represents Canada’s leading tax preparation and software firms. Bernard brings a wealth of experience from his time in the Canadian federal government, where he served both as a political staffer and a senior public servant. Over the past decade, Bernard held several senior positions, including Chief of Staff to the Minister of National Revenue and Senior Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance. More recently, as Director General within the Canada Revenue Agency and Public Services and Procurement Canada, Bernard worked on key government IT transformation projects, such as real-time payroll deduction and the replacement of the federal pay system.
