Her Excellency Anniken Huitfeldt is Norway’s Ambassador to the United States. Most recently serving as Foreign Minister from 2021 to 2023, Ambassador Huitfeldt has also held three Cabinet positions with Jens Stoltenberg’s Government. She has a longstanding career in the Norwegian Parliament, where she led its Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defense for eight years. As a young adult, Ambassador Huitfeldt studied at the University of Oslo and the London School of Economics, and she later achieved a master’s degree in foreign policy. She also worked as a researcher for five years.
