Kim Majerus leads the global education and local government organization at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where she is at the forefront of bringing artificial intelligence, generative AI, and cloud innovation to the public sector. Her organization supports state and local government agencies, higher education and K-12 institutions, and the integrated EdTech and GovTech software providers that - together - form a connected community. United by shared missions, these organizations are harnessing artificial intelligence to accelerate research, deliver personalized services, and improve learning outcomes and citizen services.  

With more than two decades of technology leadership, Majerus has built a career defined by driving large-scale digital transformation across government and education. Majerus is a recognized thought leader on the responsible adoption of AI in government, education, and research, and the leadership required to drive innovation at the intersection of people and technology. She is a passionate advocate for IT transformation that positively impacts the way government and educational institutions serve their communities.  

Majerus has held multiple global executive positions throughout her career, including roles in engineering, sales, and global channels. Beyond her professional work, Majerus mentors young women and champions STEAM education. Her honors include Chicago Business Journal Women of Influence (2022), StateScoop's Top 50 Industry Leader (2021 and 2022), Top 50 Women in Technology, and Top 50 Business Leaders in Ireland.  

She, her husband Michael, and their two daughters live in Chicago, IL.
